Hurricane Melissa Grows Stronger As It Barrels Toward Jamaica
Cyclone Melissa is predicted to escalate to a infrequent category five storm as it veers towards the Caribbean island, causing deadly sudden floods and rock falls.

Inhabitants are being instructed to fortify their houses with protective bags and plywood sheets, and to stock up on basic necessities.

Alerts are also in effect for regions of the neighboring country including the main city, Port au Prince, the neighboring country and the eastern part of Cuba, where this storm is anticipated to bring analogous consequences by the middle of next week.
Rock slides already being caused by the hurricane have caused two deaths in Haiti, according to the nation's Civil Protection agency.
